Fanion LLC is a family business, founded and created by me, Glenn Smith, my wife Tyler, and our daughters Madison and Chapin. Our family has always loved cooking together at home, and many of our favorite meals include onions in various forms, but each of us is sensitive to the eye-irritating fumes from chopping them!
I've tried a sharp knife, soaking onions in ice water, a wet rag, and a toothpick between the teeth. I would even use yard goggles to cover my face, and nothing ever worked!
Glenn's desperate onion-cutting solutionOne day, I decided to take matters into my own hands. After two years of testing prototypes and perfecting the design, the Fanion was born. It's the only thing that consistently works!
